Sykhia Clark, Gilbrea Clay, Taniya Lewis and Aniya Ussery collectively wrote Roxie's Day In Vine City. All natives of Vine City these four girls are deeply passionate about their community. They were also our FIRST EVER young authors! 

Antonio Jackson is a 12 year old boy from Atlanta Georgia. His favorite thing to do is play football, and he aspires to break the record for the most receiving yards in the NFL.  His favorite subjects in school are social studies and math. 

Menelik Haqq is a 15 year old boy who lives in Atlanta, Georgia. He often finds relaxation in playing video games. After graduating college, Menelik aspires to be a video game designer. Menelik is adventurous and his favorite adventure is rock climbing!

Justin Oscikofi is a 12 year old student at Hollis Innovation Academy. He enjoys traveling with his friends and cooking breakfast for his family. His favorite thing to do is play football on the Georgia Rattlers team. He also likes to box in his free time with his friends. In the future, Justin would like to be a football player or professional boxer. If that doesn’t work out, he would like to be a lawyer in California. It is also a goal of his to own a five star restaurant that offers premier meats.

Nicholas Dozier is a 12 year old student at Hollis Innovation Academy. He enjoys playing basketball on the Ice Atlanta team and making people laugh. He thinks of himself as a sort of  comedic because his jokes come naturally. In the future he hopes to attend college and get his degree. However, his main goal is to play professional basketball in the NBA, and he would like to play for the Atlanta Hawks as a point-guard. He would also like to build more schools in his community so that children can have safe environments to learn. He wants to make sure future students have a better school environment than he had.

Akin Haqq is an 18 year old African-American male. His favorite hobby is playing video games. He is a dual-enrolled student attending both Georgia State and Booker T. Washington. His future goal is to become a video game programmer.

Devonte Thomas is fifteen years old. He was born in Atlanta, Georgia and is quite the chef. He loves playing video games. He want to attend Full Sail university to become better in programming and graphic design. After, college he wants to work for big time companies like Epic Games and Respawn.

Derrick Cain is a 15 year old boy who lives in Atlanta, Georgia. His favorite things to do are play his video games and find different animals like salamanders, snakes and lizards. Derrick hopes to be the best zoo owner on this planet. A fun Fact about Derrick is that he loves all species!

Joshua Parks is an 11 year old boy born in Atlanta Georgia. His favorite things to do are to build buildings with his legos and write songs. When Joshua grows up he hopes to be in the Navy. In his spare time he loves looking up cars, bikes and houses.

Amir Mincey is a 12 year old boy from Atlanta Georgia. His favorite things to do are write and draw. In the future Amir aspires to be a policeman or wrestler. Amir’s favorite color is green and he loves to dance.

Malik Jones is a 12 year old boy from Atlanta Georgia. His favorite thing to do is play Fortnite and other video games. In the future Malik aspires to be a game designer. Malik’s favorite subject is Math and he’s quite good at it!

Lloyd is a 12 year old boy who lives in Atlanta Georgia. He enjoys keeping up with politics and playing basketball. He believes that in order to be a good politician you have to be a good person and have the peoples best interest at heart.

Montavious is a fifteen year old ball of energy from Atlanta Georgia. He enjoys flipping and believes it is a great way to release energy. Montavious hopes his book can teach children how to release their energy without getting in trouble.  

Edwin Ellis is a seventeen year old artist. After graduating college he plans to be a mechanical engineer. In his spare time he likes to draw, especially dragons. Edwin hopes his book can help readers become more confident in being themselves.
