About Young Authors Publishing
Founded in 2018, Young Authors Publishing is a children’s and young adult book publisher that shares diverse narratives written by diverse young authors. With over 30 children’s and young adult titles, Young Authors takes pride in helping to redefine the literary landscape by giving young voices the space and resources to share their own stories using their own pens.
Our titles are distributed through Ingram Content Group, the largest book distributor in the county.
Our Purpose
We're on a mission to empower the authors of tomorrow, using their words to change the dialogue around representation in literature.

Published 13 more books written by a cohort of young black boys from the west side of Atlanta & our founder graduated from Clark Atlanta University!
Hernandez was named Publishers Weekly's star watch nominee for her work with Young Authors Publishing, Courier Fresh Fund recipient & received funding from Pharrell Williams Black Ambition Fund
Expanded mission & impact by launching Muse Inc.

Founder & CEO Leah Hernandez received a grant from Atlanta Housing Authority to create a community initiative. Leah used it to help four young girls write a book. On May 8, 2018, YAP published our first book, Roxie's Day in Vine City

Writing Curriculum was published to help students across the nation write & publish their own books
